Hello and thank you for taking the time to stop by my shop! My name is Greg Haile and I am an aspiring bladesmith! Im more geared for the stock removal method of knifemaking(the grinding away of steel to form a knife), however i am increasing my knowledge on forging blades, and forge welding damascus steel. I work out of my home based in Tigard Oregon, and apprentice under established bladesmiths here in Oregon and Washington.
I enjoy making a variety of styles of cutlery anything from RW Loveless inspired hunters, to the latest in Zombie Slayers. My grinding styles include hollow and flatgrinding, i enjoy grinds that include both styles in symmetrical and asymetrical allignments. I outsource my heat treatment for exact and consistent results, all my blades are individually RC tested, and are heat treated to manufacture specs! Im not partial to any one steel unless we are talking about my own forged damascus! That being said I will work in any medium for most blades!
My shop mantra is "Putting Pride, Passion, and Integrity in every blade I produce"!
I back all my blades with a simple common sense lifetime warranty.
